The Lake County Planning Department works to provide quality service to the public while encouraging responsible development, growth, and land uses throughout the County. The Planning Department strives to 1) promote public health and safety, 2) prevent activities that adversely impact the quality of life, and 3) encourage activities that preserve and protect the natural environment, water quality, wildlife habitat, and economic & agricultural opportunities for future generations.

Lake County currently seeks volunteers for the following Boards.
Positions begin on January 1, 2019. If you have questions about the area of jurisdiction for a particular board or to obtain an application, please check with Lake County Planning Dept.
