E-Recording Services
E-recording is the process of submitting documents for recording online and having them reviewed, recorded, and returned back to the submitter electronically.

E-Recording services can be utilized through CSC (accepted until 4:00pm) and Simplifile (deeds accepted until 4:00pm , other recordings accepted until 4:45pm).

Lake County Clerk and Recorder is electronically recording (eRecording) most types of documents.

Advantages to E-Recording include:
Reduced labor, materials, postage and courier costs
Shortened time gap to recordation
Increased security in sending and receiving documents
Fewer rejections and faster corrections: eRecording eliminates rejections for incorrect fees. Rejected documents can be resubmitted in hours vs days
