4-H is the youth development program of Montana State University and the USDA. 4-H helps youth become contributing citizens in the future through learning Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics Skills. It focuses on developing youth by using their thinking skills, sharing their heart experiences, helping their communities through service, and using their health to make themselves and their communities better.
When you join 4-H, you are joining the largest out-of-school youth program in the country. There are 6 million kids just like you across the county in 4-H, and 20,000 of them live here in Montana. 4-H is in all 56 counties in Montana. Wherever you live, 4-H is there. Depending on what your interests are, there's a 4-H program where you belong!
4-H offers so much for you to do. You find the path that works for you! Join a club or program, attend camp, sign up as a 4-H Teen Leader or Ambassador, participate in a 4-H event, have fun, explore your interests, build leadership skills, and improve your communication abilities while making connections with new friends, mentors, and possible future employers.
