The Polson City-County Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018 at 6:00 pm in the Polson City Hall Council Chambers. Agenda items include:

LAKE COUNTY GROWTH POLICY REWRITE

The Planning Board will hold a public hearing on a proposed rewrite of the 2003 Lake County Growth Policy.  After consideration of the recommendations and suggestions elicited at the public hearing, the Planning Board will consider whether to adopt the proposed growth policy by resolution, and whether to recommend the Board of Lake County Commissioners adopt the proposed growth policy, not adopt the proposed growth policy, or take some other action related to its preparation.  The draft growth policy is proposed to replace the 2003 Lake County Growth Policy and the 1993 Polson Master Plan for their respective jurisdictional areas.

Written comments received by Jan. 2, 2018 will be included in the board packets. All written and verbal comments are welcome and will be forwarded to the Board for their consideration. LEGAL NOTICE

On Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018 at 4:00 pm, the Lake County Board of Adjustment will hold a public hearing in the Office of the Lake County Commissioners, Room 211 of the Lake County Courthouse on the following item:     

EAKIN CONDITIONAL USE REQUEST

Linda Eakin, Cindi Khoungwiset, and Ryan Meredith are requesting conditional use approval within the Finley Point Zoning District, Sub-District E, to allow for a temporary dwelling to be used for a construction period not to exceed 2 calendar years. The 4.85 acre parcel is currently developed with a single-wide mobile home and two small accessory sheds. The conditional use approval would allow an R.V. to be used as a temporary dwelling during construction of a proposed greenhouse structure. The subject property is located at 33054 South Finley Point Road, Polson MT, 59860 and is legally described as Lot B of the of the Amended Plat of Clifford Beach Orchard Homes Subdivision, located in Section 19 of T23N, R19W.

On Wed., Jan. 17, 2018, at 3:00 pm, the Lake County Planning & Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing in the small conference room (Rm 317) of the Lake County Courthouse on the following item:

MC ELWAIN VARIANCE REQUESTS

James and Karen McElwain are requesting after-the-fact variances to the 30-foot building setback from the high water mark of Flathead Lake, as well as property line setbacks. The existing toolshed, guest home, and bridge do not meet the setbacks as regulated by the King’s Point Zoning District. The +/- 0.46 acre property is located at 37476 Kings Point Road within the Kings Point Zoning District, and is legally described as Lot 6C in Block 16 of Safety Bay Villa Site, located within Section 15 of T23N, R20W, further described on Deed Exhibit H-779.

TESS VARIANCE REQUESTS

John Tess is requesting a variance to the property line setbacks as required by the Kings Point Zoning District. The applicant would like to remove the existing dwelling which does not meet the setbacks as regulated by zoning and construct a new dwelling in the same location The property is +/-0.46 acres and is located at 31103 Kings Point Road within the Kings Point Zoning District, and is legally described as Lot 6A in Block 16 of Safety Bay Villa Site, located within Section 16 of T23N, R20W, further described on Deed Exhibit H-779.
