CLERK & RECORDERS OFFER SCHOLARSHIP

Applications are being accepted for the annual $1000.00 scholarship given by the Montana Association of Clerks & Recorders.  Applicants must be a graduating senior who plan on attending a Montana university, college or vocational-technical school. 

Application forms are available from the guidance counselors of all high schools in Lake County, from the Lake County Clerk & Recorder’s office at the courthouse in Polson or on the Lake County Clerk & Recorder’s website.  Students who attend school within Lake County should submit completed applications to the Lake County Clerk & Recorder, Paula Holle, postmarked no later than March 17, 2017. 

Applications are judged on the basis of work experience, school & community activities, goals, unusual circumstances & scholastic performance.  Final judging will be done by May 1st to select one statewide winner and an alternate.  A certificate will be issued to the winner.  Upon acceptance by the school of the student’s choice, the scholarship will be paid directly to the school.
